Expanded Dual Admissions and Transfer Agreement with McCann School of Business
During the past year, the Alvernia College Faculty adopted a series of new degree program initiatives which make the attainment of a Bachelor's Degree more accessible to transfer students and students with considerable life experience. These programs will now be available at the Schuylkill Center and provide enhanced opportunities to complete a Bachelor's Degree in Schuylkill County. New opportunities include the "Plus Two" degree completion program designed for students who have earned an Associate's Degree and wish to complete a Bachelor's Degree; the Mid-Degree Completion program for students who have earned 75 credits from other institutions and wish to complete a degree; and the Degree Completion for students who have completed 90 credits at other institutions. These new programs are especially relevant for students from McCann School of Business since Alvernia and McCann have agreed to expand their dual admission and transfer agreement.
Under the terms of the agreement, options available to McCann students include:

Articulation with Local High Schools
McCann School of Business has established articulation agreements with several local high schools. Seniors at these high schools can articulate up to 12 credits at McCann School of Business and have these credits applied toward an appropriate Associate in Specialized Business Degree or Diploma program.
Students may articulate classes based on the recommendation of his or her high school instructor or may take advanced placement examinations at McCann School of Business.
Articulation agreements exist between McCann School of Business and the following local high schools:
