ADMISSIONS and ACCEPTANCE
McCann School of Business & Technology seeks students who have a strong desire for
practical career preparation in their chosen fields and who have the ability to achieve
academic success. Applications for admission are accepted throughout the year.

welcomes first inquiries from high school students and their parents during the junior
year. The admissions staff is available to advise you on curriculum planning and
career opportunities.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
General Requirements
To be considered for admission to McCann School of Business and Technology you must be a graduate of an accredited
high school or possess a G.E.D. Applicants must also take an entrance examination and meet the minimum Wonderlic Scholastic test with a score of 15 or higher depending on
program requirements.
Transfer Credit Policy
McCann School of Business & Technology welcomes applications from students desiring
to enter or transfer from other colleges. Applicants requesting transfer credit must
arrange for their college(s) to send McCann School of Business & Technology an official transcript
of their records for evaluation by the Director.
We will review and consider for advanced standing credit from accredited
institutions where it can be determined that objective, content, clock hours and/or
credits are equivalent to a specific course. In addition, the minimum passing grade
of C must be obtained.
Advanced Standing
Upon proof of
ability, by way of a placement test, students may be granted advanced standing in
keyboarding.
Application Procedure
Applications are accepted throughout the year for all future enrollment dates
and until two weeks prior to the start of each term. A $40.00 non-refundable
application fee is required when you submit your application for admission. All
applicants are considered individually on the basis of previous scholastic record as
evidenced by an official high school transcript, or GED. Applicants must request
their high school guidance counselor to send official copies of their transcript
directly to the McCann School of Business & Technology. Appropriate forms for requesting these
records can be obtained at the initial admissions interview.
Interview & Tour
It is essential that you visit McCann School of Business & Technology for a personal
interview to tour our facility and discuss the selection of a program most suited to
your needs and objectives. Admissions Representatives are available to speak with
you for day and evening appointments. High school applicants should be
accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Notification of Admissions Decision
Upon receipt of the application form,
$40.00 non-refundable application fee,
official high school transcripts, or GED, and completion of personal interview and
tour, a letter of acceptance will be mailed to the student indicating the Program start
date at McCann School of Business & Technology.
