Program Objective
To prepare the student for an entry level career in accounting positions that provide
opportunities for advancement to professional levels. Accountants need to be good at
working with numbers and concentrating on details. Employees need to be careful,
accurate, and orderly in their work. Jobs for accountants are found in virtually every
industry, including wholesale and retail firms, schools, hospitals, physicians' offices,
banks, and governmental agencies.
