TECHNOLOGY

Program Objective

     To prepare the student for an entry level career in the growing computer industry. Students will acquire special skills in areas of computer repair, data communications, operating systems, Internet, and various computer networks, as well as hands-on externship experience in the computer field.

Competency Profile

Upon completion of the Computer Network Technology Program, the graduate should be able to:
  • Attain an entry level position in the field of technical computer support and computer networking and support.

  • Install and configure computer software applications.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair basic PC hardware.

  • Identify Local Area Networks, (LANS), Wide Area Networks, (WANS), and multi-user systems.

  • Demonstrate and practice the computer software applications.
