Annette M. Cremo, M. Ed
Annette M. Cremo is an education, training and human resource development consultant. In this capacity,
she designs, develops, and delivers programs to meet the diverse needs of organizations in the private
and public sector. She teaches a graduate course in Training/Presentation
Skills for the Pennsylvania State University. Her areas of expertise include program development and
administration, instructional development, designing and conducting training, and assessing the
needs of organizations in the private and public sector. She is a certified Master Trainer for
PeopleSmart and the Working PeopleSmart courses. Annette is an Organizational Learning
Consultant with McCann Corporate Training, a division of McCann Education Centers, Inc.
Ms. Cremo has done the majority of her doctoral research examining the learning needs of those
involved in teams specifically as it relates to active learning processes centering around team
development, high performance work systems and the group problem solving process. She has
also researched the training needs of small businesses. In this area, she has contributed to a number
of projects, including development of collateral materials, development of a marketing strategy,
and research and development of various policy documents. Ms. Cremo is an expert in the area of
prevention and handling of sexual harassment in the workplace. As such she assists with
organizational policy and employee training.
Annette graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of
Science degree majoring in Behavioral Science. After completing her degree, she earned an
advanced certificate in gerontology. She then earned a Masters Degree in Education with a major
in Training and Development from the Pennsylvania State University. Ms. Cremo is currently
completing her Doctorate in Adult Education and Organizational Development at Temple
University. In addition, she is certified as an instructor for the Myers-Briggs Personality Type
Indicator.
She is Past President of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Society for Training
and Development. Her previous offices included, Director of Professional Development,
Director of Membership, and Secretary. She has served on the Board for CPARC, an organization
targeted at helping individuals with special needs. Ms. Cremo is a 1991 graduate of Leadership
Harrisburg Area, a program designed to prepare selected individuals for positions of community
leadership. She developed and currently instructs the Volunteer Leadership Program, a leadership training
program for the youth of the Harrisburg area. Annette is past President and member of Delta Tau
Kappa, the National Social Science Honor Society. She is certified in the MBTI and is certified to
teach and distribute any of the Carlson Learning Company products (DiSC). Her membership in
professional associations include the Academy for Human Resource Development, SHRM
(Human Resources), ISPI (Performance Improvement), American Association for Adult and
Continuing Education, the Pennsylvania Association for Adult Continuing Education, American
Society for Training and Development, the Association for Psychological Type, and the
Pennsylvania Society for Association Executives.
